initial insertion into hostile territory-hann min 1
My pal mark invited me to contribute to this column. I'm honoured to be invited
. hehe. But partly b'cos I feel guilty 'bout not visiting him in Sg, after I clearly promised to do so and mislead a couple of souls on the false prtense I was going, including a poor chick in Kedah...my bad.
Allright, as the first entry point, let me first extapolate the boundaries and limits regarding my time here.
firstly, entries will entered on inconsistent periods.I'm a highly contradictory person, and I'll put in stuff when i FEEL like it.Muhahaha. It is of course your right to dismiss me at first hand.(0bviously)
BE MY GUEST.MAKE MY DAY....just hope u readers out there will give me a chance(one will do...hopefully)...I'm sure you'll warm up to me. (yeah right...)
Analysis: The first few paragraphs implies a highly direct , warm and personal person.
There is a hint(A HINT!!u've got yo be kidding...) of rudeness and all-knowing smartass posture. This might imply a very careless, reactionary, and reckless thinking. But a word of caution.anybody who has even glanced through Sun Tzu's(does this guy really exist?) , would remain on guard. we fail when we fail to notice we fail( wat a dick?!)
well, taking a hint from mark's title,(I'm running out of immature things to say), (kopi oh satu!), I'm not exactly sure why I should be writing this blog in the first (tahan ye...) place.
International debate ?'bout what?
About government corruption?the lack of freedom of speech? the lack of a right to free assembly? No man...I don't want no ISA in my backyard,no siree...I'm a good, loyal, and partriotic citizen. Critizisng about direct realities ain't news, its something to do when you want to look good to yourself . thats loser. Want to change the world?? JUST do it(trademarked by the nike corporation).Stop yapping!
To make my stay here entirely peaceful, harmonious, and entirely sugarcandy , I'll be in fact entirely diverting from international debate. U know?
I'll be yapping on and on...(YIKES! KILL ME!KILL ME!!),about awesome stuff like clouds, windchimes, glorious malaysian food, (Loh bak, cham peng, yeah baby...), and basically stuff that will make censors happy planet-wide.Of course, avoiding any choppy waters will also, basically, in effect, save my ass in the long run(pardon the language). It will also basically give me hope, because reading the papers today basically makes me throwup(literally).this time, i hope, will save me from meself. So I don't get pissed off all the time. So that i can basically blow some steam, refocus myself so I don't feel too down, and basically improve my command of english, so i can implicitly insult whomsoever i desire, .....without detection.Hooray!!Give me a five!
(knocks on the door)" Alloo...tis iz the Ministry of truth We l ook ing 4 this kid...u know..this traitor, who's been writing some unpallatable crap on the net..." "why ? whats up?wheres the fire bra?" "well, we(implying a fictitious organization of prole control, which OF COURSE,has nothing to do with anybody in the REAL world,OF COURSE...) wanta shoot'ya in the head bra..!!Put'cha in a black bag, disappear 4 2o yrs(divide by 10)."NO!!OMG!OMG...omg,pls bra...don't do tis to me yeah .I'm a cool bird...pls..."BANG!BANG!THRUUUUTGHRIGRUREURUGUUG ....AHHHHHHHAIER(something like in tiberium sun)"
Yeah, its getting late, gotta get some beauty sleep, stay strong people, we'll make it through. Evil people don't live long. they get angina.
Warning: The contents within this piece of writing is purely fictitious.Any resemblance to any real person or place,or organization, whether living or dead, is purely coincidental and is ,most definitely, highly regretted(Pls don't kill me, i'm harmless, and what is more, a bloody coward as is mate...)

anyway. watched Evan Almighty last night. hur. damn funny show. intetresting too, how some ppl actually portray God. it's fascinating to know how other ppl see him. anyhow, more into a few things that the script contained. like, "Does God give you courage when you pray for it? Or does he give you the opportunity to be courageous?" and "A Random act of Kindness= ARK". hur. thought provoking.

Thoughts on Creative Vision W
I have a Vision W for 4-5 months already. Overall, I m impress with the playback and the numerous formats that it could support. I love to toy around with the functions it has to offer! However, the downside is the battery life. With ONLY 13 hours of music playback and 4.5 hours of video....... I might as well get a Cowon D2 device, which has 52 hours of music playback and 10 hours of video. I do hope that Creative PTE LTD release an Extended battery life pack for the Vision W.
Comparison with the Ipod video:-
Advantages of Vision W over Ipod Video:->
- Wider screen
- Built in speakers
- In-built radio
- Microphone
- 200,000 + colours
- Compact flash card reader.
- Has a longer battery life for video playbacks
- Better GUI (Graphical User Interface)
- A/V out - which means you can watch videos on TV
Advantages of Ipod Video over Vision W:->
- Scroll Wheel (The most powerful feature in ALL ipods)
- Branded (Quite...)
- More range of accessories
- In-built mirror (At the back of the Ipod Video)
- Popular by the masses
- Smaller size, and therefore lighter..

The Love For Yahoo! Inc.
At least Microsoft doesn't have that many advertisements though. Microsoft should, in my opinion, consider pursuing Google instead of Yahoo although they are competitors. Stupidly enough, probably feeling rich, Microsoft is willing to buy Yahoo at the price of 50 Billion dollars when Yahoo is currently priced at 30+ billion dollars. A question that might be circulating everyone's mind, is Microsoft taking over the entire technology World? Probably in the future Apple's Mac might be leading, since their product is, to be honest, better than Windows. Windows is forever buggy, making the system lag and sometimes hang. Mac doesn't lag that much. It doesn't even hang unless you are intelligent enough to corrupt the entire system files.
Anyway, back to the topic, does anyone think that Microsoft-Yahoo is a good fit? Or MSYahoo? or something similar? NBC universal has been bought over by Microsoft, renaming it to MSNBC, this sounds better, it's as though a product of MSN.
Read this news anyway,
NEW YORK - Speculation about a possible Microsoft-Yahoo tie-up met with skepticism Friday from analysts who believe services from the two companies have too much in common.
Yahoo shares surged following published reports Friday that Microsoft Corp. is resuming its pursuit of Yahoo Inc. in an attempt to better compete with Web search and advertising leader Google Inc. (MSNBC.com is a joint venture of Microsoft and NBC Universal.)
The New York Post reported that Microsoft has asked Yahoo to enter formal negotiations for an acquisition that could be worth $50 billion. Yahoo’s market capitalization was about $38 billion on Thursday.
Both companies declined comment on the reports, each of which cited unidentified people familiar with the situation.
The Wall Street Journal said executives of the two companies are looking at a merger or some other kind of matchup and said the talks appear to be in the early stages. It said the companies explored the idea of combining last year but the talks led nowhere.
David Hallerman, a senior analyst at the research group eMarketer, said he saw many cultural problems and few strategic benefits with a Microsoft-Yahoo combination.
“There’s too much overlap between Microsoft and Yahoo, and to try to merge the company cultures of two large companies like that in general is hard,” Hallerman said.
Hallerman said Microsoft would be better off buying an ad network to beef up its own operations, the same way Time Warner Inc.’s AOL has seen its advertising revenue grow following the acquisition of Advertising.com’s technology and sales force.
Yahoo, meanwhile, could lose the flexibility it needs to compete if it were to be one division within a larger company like Microsoft, he said.
Industry analyst Matt Rosoff with Directions on Microsoft in Kirkland, Wash., said a huge takeover is unlikely, noting that Yahoo would duplicate services Microsoft’s MSN already provides, such as instant messaging and e-mail.
It is possible, Rosoff added, that Microsoft and Yahoo might be talking about a deal involving only online search advertising.
Hallerman said he could see at most a spin-off of Microsoft’s MSN online division to be run by Yahoo.
Microsoft is feeling increasing pressure to compete with Google, which plans to beef up its portfolio with a $3.1 billion purchase of online advertising company DoubleClick Inc.
Microsoft currently trails both Yahoo and Google in the lucrative and growing business of Web search, even as Google increases its development of Web-based software that directly competes with Microsoft’s lucrative Office suite.
Microsoft and Yahoo each considered buying a stake in AOL in late 2005, but Google ultimately won a search advertising deal and agreed to pay $1 billion for a 5 percent stake in AOL.
The Post story said Microsoft and Yahoo have held informal talks over the years and said Microsoft’s latest approach to Yahoo signals increased urgency.
Earlier this week, Yahoo said it would buy 80 percent of advertising exchange Right Media for $680 million, increasing its stake in that company to full control.

Creative Inc. Updates
Anyway, Creative Technology launched a collection of Creative X-Fi Xtreme Fidelity enabled products for the home at the "X-Fi Your Home" event in the showflat of the prestigious Condominium. It features X-Fi Crystalizer that restores the detail and vibrance to compressed music and movies and the X-Fi CMSS-3D that expands stereo MP3s and digital movies into surround sound over multichannel speakers, stereo speakers or even headphones.
Sound cool right? They've been doing all these Xi-fi marketing for many months, but yet...the problem is still there. The bass boost isn't good enough for it's customers. Comparing Cowon's D2 with creative products... you will be tremendously shock by the fact that Cowon's sound quality (Overall) outplays Creative Tech. Time to speed up Creative!

Servers of Windows Live
I wonder what the team has been doing lately, not only that their Service status page is not updated, apparently they haven't been listening to the users of Windows Live or have they? I really hope that they will stop upgrading their services and just get on with the updating for all their Windows Live services already. Especially both Windows Live Messenger and Windows Live Spaces.
Haven't you notice that whenever you connect to Windows Live Spaces, your internet gets disconnected? Or perhaps is just my local internet service provider is doing a bad job in providing a good network? Or perhaps there's more reasons into the mysterious sudden disconnection upon connected to Windows Live Spaces?
Oh well, let's hope that all the teams in Windows Live will do a good job when they remove the BETA tag from all their services.

Some news updates. (:
Enough of self introduction.. Let's get to serious business.
It's a pretty old news, but I doubt everyone have read it or heard of it.
I assume that everyone has heard of Buzz Lightyears and his famous quote, yeah? This is something that sounds perhaps exactly alike, or perhaps not. Whatever it's... ...
Yahoo is going infinity and beyond. Enjoy infinite mail storage after they update everything. The current space is 1Gb, similar to the current Hotmail. But after May 2007, Yahoo will be infinite times better than the upcoming Windows Live Hotmail that gives free users 2Gb of space, and paid users 4Gb of space. Isn't this wonderful? I can't wait for it.
Here's the news.
Enjoy (:
Windows Live Messenger is going for an upgrade after its current version 8.1. No news of whether they are going to change a new UI to suit all Windows Live services better or whether there'll be a version specially made for Windows Vista. Some users are awaiting for the team to make an edition for Windows Vista just like what Yahoo! has done - created a messenger specially made for Windows Vista. Though it's not out publicly, there's screenshots and video of the messenger itself.
During valentine's day and even the 12th of April post, the Windows Live Messenger Team said that they are trying to add these features in and improve on them though it's no guarantee that you will see all features they said. Thanks to users who requested those features to be improved and be added into Windows Live Messenger.
Features to be improved:
More Messenger Customization (Skins, emoticons, winks, games) More feature in Mac Messenger (Go here for more information about Mac Messenger) Better Auto-Update Better text customization in IM (More font colors, better bold/italic support) Better Vista Integration
New features that you want:
- Custom Animated Display Pictures
- Ability to show different status to different people or groups
- Make it easy to search for other messenger users
- Multiway Video Calling
- Display picture history
- Tabbed Windows
- Save IM conversations into Hotmail
- Spell Check
- Phone calls, ability to buy a phone number and have it go to Messenger.
- Have all Messenger clients work together.
Cheers!

Shootings in Virginia Tech University
On Monday a gunman went on a shooting spree at Virginia Tech University, killing 32 people and injuring over 20 more before ending his own life. It is not known at this time why he decided to start the senseless deadly rampage in the first place. I'm sure details will be coming out over the next few days and weeks. Obviously students, faculty, and their families are horrified and in utter shock. It has been said that he is suffering from mental illnesses.
Many students told the press that he was a loner in the university. I think , to put things simply, it was difficult for him to blend into the American Society.. which explains his loneliness. The way he expressed his anger on others was terrible AND ABSOLUTELY WRONG. It IS just Unacceptable by the world.
It's full of insanity.
